Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea London review

I had the opportunity to try the wonderful afternoon tea at the Sanderson Hotel. Sanderson London invites guests to fall down the rabbit hole into a world of wonder with its Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea, an enchanting experience inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Served in the hotel’s beautifully designed courtyard, this afternoon tea is a sensory delight, featuring an imaginative selection of sweet and savoury treats. Indulge in French Toast Truffle Bites, Dark Chocolate Tart, Blueberry Bavarois, and Homemade Scones, all served on custom-made, whimsical crockery. Paired with a selection of Alice-inspired teas, this experience offers a delightful escape from the ordinary. I particularly appreciated that they had their own special tea menu which paired with the food, not something you see but this attention to detail is much appreciated!

They also have the option of a non-alcoholic champagne from Wild Idol. I have searched for a lovely non-alcoholic alternative for a while so I was pleasantly surprised to find this.

I would recommend this afternoon tea for tea lovers who might need a break from shopping on Oxford Street who could relax in the beautiful hotel. They also have a special children’s menu which allows the magic to continue with a dress-up corner featuring Alice in Wonderland-inspired costumes, allowing children to fully immerse themselves in the storybook fantasy.
